About The Back Garden Astronomer
Lockdown gave astronomy enthusiast Russell Discombe the time and opportunity to develop an absorbing new interest – photographing the stars and galaxies. Working from his Gloucestershire home, after studying the subject and investing in specialist equipment, he was able to create stunning colour images of nebulae within our own galaxy and of other galaxies tens of millions of light years away, along with starscapes and wide-angle images of the Milky Way and the constellations.
